ROUNDTHE CLOCKCAR SERVICE

Privacy policy

Last updated September 2026

Round the Clock Car Service (“we”) operates rtccarservice.com and the booking service on it. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written to match how the system actually works rather than to cover every hypothetical.

What we collect

When you book a ride, we collect:

  • Contact details — your name, email address, and mobile number. We need all three: the email carries your confirmation and receipt, and the mobile number is how the driver reaches you at the curb.
  • Trip details — pickup and drop-off addresses, any intermediate stops, the date and time, passenger and luggage counts, flight details if you are flying, and anything you write in the instructions field.
  • Preferences — if you create an account, the cabin settings, music, conversation, and accessibility preferences you save.
  • Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number never reaches our servers. We store only Stripe’s identifier for the saved payment method and the last four digits Stripe returns.
  • Message history — the text messages and emails exchanged about your booking, so the conversation stays attached to the ride.

Why we collect it

To quote, schedule, and drive your ride; to take payment for it; to send you the confirmations, reminders, and receipts described below; and to keep a record of what happened on each booking so a disagreement can be settled by looking rather than by arguing.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not build profiles for marketing purposes.

Text messages

We only send text messages to people who have explicitly opted in with a separate checkbox at booking. That consent is not bundled into our terms of service. Opting out of texts does not affect your ability to book a ride.

Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Full detail is on our SMS terms page.

Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with the subcontractors that deliver our messages is limited to what is needed to deliver them.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that make the booking work, and only the data each one needs:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe receives your name, email, and card details directly.
  • Twilio — text message delivery. Twilio receives your mobile number and the message body.
  • Resend — email delivery. Receives your email address and the message.
  • Google Maps Platform — address lookup and route calculation. Receives the addresses you enter, not your identity.
  • Supabase and Vercel — database and hosting. Your data lives in Supabase, hosted in the United States.
  • Anthropic — the scheduling assistant that helps the owner review requests. It receives trip details and schedule context. It never receives your payment details, and it never writes to our records — every suggestion it makes is confirmed by a person first.

We will also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are kept for seven years, which is what tax and accounting obligations require. Message history is kept for two years. If you close your account, we delete your profile and preferences and retain only the booking and payment records we are obliged to keep.

Your choices

  • See and correct your details at any time in your account.
  • Reply STOP to any text to opt out of text messages.
  • Ask us to delete your account by emailing concierge@rtccarservice.com.
  • California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we have collected and the right to request its deletion. Use the same email address; we do not charge for this and we do not treat you differently for asking.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to booking records is restricted at the database level so one client’s records are not reachable from another client’s session. Card details are held by Stripe, not by us.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Children ride with us often; they do not book rides with us.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will say so on this page and update the date at the top.
