What the car is for.
Five ways people use a private car service. The vehicle and the driver are the same in each; what changes is how the time is booked and how the fare is calculated.
Point to point
One pickup, one drop-off, one price you saw before you asked.
The everyday version of the service. A dinner reservation across town, a meeting downtown, a medical appointment where you would rather not think about parking. You give a pickup address, a drop-off address, and a time.
The fare is calculated from the actual driving distance and the traffic expected at your pickup time, not an average. A four o'clock run to the Westside is priced as a four o'clock run to the Westside.
- Extra stops
- Add them in the booking. Each one is priced into the quote.
- Wait time
- Tell us if you need the car to wait. TODO(vahan): confirm billing.
- Notice
- 24 hours standard. Sooner by phone.
Hourly charter
The car stays with you.
Book the car by the hour and it is yours for that block — the driver waits between stops rather than leaving and coming back. This is the right call when the itinerary is not fully decided, or when it is decided but has six stops in it.
Common uses: a day of meetings across the basin, a wedding, a night out where the last stop depends on how the first one goes.
- Minimum
- Two hours. TODO(vahan): confirm.
- Billing
- By the hour from the scheduled pickup, not from the first stop.
- Distance
- Not charged separately. The hourly rate covers the driving.
Airport transfers
Curbside drop-off and pick-up at any airport.
Curbside is how this normally works: you walk out, the car is at the curb, nobody stands around looking for anybody. Ask for meet-and-greet inside at baggage claim and you get that instead.
The flight number matters. It goes on the booking so a delayed landing is a known fact rather than a surprise, and so the pickup time can move without a phone call at midnight. Departures work the same way in reverse: give the flight and we work backwards from it.
- Airports
- LAX, BUR, ONT, SNA, LGB — and every other major airport
- Default
- Curbside drop-off and pick-up
- Meet and greet
- Inside at baggage claim, on request
- Flight tracking
- Not automated yet. Text us if the flight moves.
Event transportation
Ride in comfort. Arrive in style.
Concerts, sporting events, weddings, and the kind of evening that ends at an unpredictable hour. The value here is the return leg — not standing on a curb at eleven o'clock competing with forty thousand other people for a ride.
For a group across multiple vehicles, or a schedule with several pickups, call rather than booking online. That is a conversation, not a form.
- Round trip
- Book both legs at once. The return is its own confirmable ride.
- Groups
- Six passengers in the van. More than that, call us.
- Late nights
- After-hours pricing applies between 10pm and 5am.
Corporate accounts
Invoiced monthly, no card at the curb.
For businesses moving people regularly: no payment method on each ride, a purchase order field where you need one, and an invoice on your terms rather than a receipt in someone's inbox.
Bookings can be made by an assistant on behalf of a traveler, and every ride on the account appears on one statement.
- Terms
- Net 15 or net 30.
- PO numbers
- Required or optional, set per account.
- Set up
- One conversation.
